Yesterday I began observing some serious issues with the display on my screen. I had been using it for several hours prior to noticing this. The problem is highly irregular but tends to appear at specific times and locations. I've tested both DP and HDMI connections, and the issue only affects my main monitor, not the secondary one. This glitch doesn't show up in screenshots either. While playing a game with DP input, watching video via HDMI, and switching from fullscreen to windowed mode, I'm still experiencing this problem.
HDR is disabled, and I don’t recall any app altering my display settings. It seems to be occurring unexpectedly now.
Radeon RX 5700XT is still relatively recent. I've faced problems with graphics drivers before, though they seem to be current now. Perhaps going back to an earlier release could help.
Check the latest version and go back to an earlier state. It could be a background update from Windows or an issue with the AMD tool. A software error in encryption might be the cause. Have you tried other cables? The similar problem I noticed before happened with twisted cables as well.
I also have additional cables to test. I've already used a displayport and an HDMI cable, and it worked with both, so I don't think the problem is with the cable itself.
