Hi, my Lenovo ThinkCenter M73 Mini-Tower is running well with the current setup: i3 4130, quadro k420, 2x8GB DDR3L at 1600MHz, the included 1TB HDD, and the 240GB Adata SU635. It functions smoothly with those components. When I tried the i5 4590, it wouldn’t boot at all—just spiked the fans to full speed instantly. Switching back to the i3 resolved the issue. The CPU in question is compatible with the H81 chipset and appears on Lenovo’s official specs. I updated the motherboard BIOS to the latest version, but I’m still uncertain if the i5 will work. I discovered it in a leftover Dell build that didn’t boot. Could swapping it for an i7 4790 or another 4590 help? The m73_specifications.pdf is attached.
I confirmed the bios are now up to date with the latest version from Lenovo's site.
