I just put Win11 24H2 on my PC with a new M.2 slot, removed the other drives, and did a fresh install. It's running on a Ryzen 7600x with a Gigabyte B650 Eagle AX board, two ADATA DDR5-6400 sticks, and a CoolerMaster ML24L V2 RGB cooler. No overclocking was done. I opened HWInfo 64 while Windows logged in, and it showed my Tctl/Tdie at 82.8c, usually around 40-45c. It doesn’t seem like much, but I’m worried the system isn’t doing much and I expect lower idle temps. I also had a shutdown and restart without any clear reason, except maybe overheating. Should I be concerned? Also, I tried Ryzen Master to adjust voltages or fix issues, but it won’t install and just closes after unpacking. Any advice? Thanks! It's typical, but could you share your current room temperature? The lower it is, the faster the absorption happens, helping reduce internal heat.

Confirm these settings match 1:1 performance. If not, you're losing significant memory efficiency. In 2:1 mode, adjust UCLK to MEMCLK in BIOS; you may need to lower memory speed to 6000MT/s for this to function properly (though it improves overall speed). Ryzen doesn’t idle much—once something triggers, one core ramps up. Typical idle temps are around 40-50°C, though they vary with cooler, ambient, and fan settings. The only concern is a spike to 83°C right after power-on. I’d run a benchmark like Cinebench to check actual CPU performance, since boost algorithms keep it near 95°C. That makes measuring cooling crucial. It’s not clear what’s happening, but realistically, Ryzen Master isn’t much better than BIOS for tuning, so I’d skip the extra steps and stick with BIOS adjustments.

I just ran ZenTimings and noticed UCLK and MEMCLK both at 3200 with FCLK at 2000. That’s odd since Windows was still loading background tasks before settling. It’s more convenient than shutting down the PC. Different motherboard makers use varying terms in their BIOS, so having one tool to inspect and adjust things is helpful. I turned off the thermostat temporarily—temperature was around 20°C when I posted, now it’s about 7°C. I’m currently open a window to let air circulate and hopefully lower the heat. Also, I missed checking the speed at that time; that would have been wise. It’s around 5 AM and it’s still chilly, probably below 12°C. Thanks for the assistance!

I’ve got plenty of blankets to make it up to you.

It seems the setup is functioning correctly now. For PBO adjustments (assuming no changes since last use), each modification still needs a full system restart. Regarding BIOS settings, AMD boards must include an AMD Overclocking menu within the advanced options, and it should remain consistent across different boards.
