Hey everyone,
I'm reaching out because i feel like my computer is lacking in performance.
When I contacted the store where I bought the computer, they just said there's nothing they can do about it and that it’s normal. Asus said the same thing.
But here's the thing: Cyberpunk struggles to get above 50fps on medium and high graphics settings, and Kingdom Come Deliverance struggles to maintain 60fps on high settings.
3DMark:
Default: 5278
Custom: 4677 - 3440x1440
* I have tried a Windows Clean Install .
* Completely remove GPU driverswith guru3d(DDU), and reinstall drivers.
I paid a lot of money for high-tier components because I wanted to play games without constantly tweaking settings. Instead, I've spent all my time fine-tuning games just to get decent performance. I’m trying to figure out if I'm in the wrong here, or if the store is not being honest with me.
The case is, i feel like i got nothing close to what i paid for.

My Questions:
Are these benchmark scores normal for my setup?
Should I expect better performance in games like Cyberpunk and Kingdom Come Deliverance given my hardware?
Is there something wrong with my configuration, or am I expecting too much?
Any tips on what might be causing these performance issues?
I really appreciate any help or insights you can provide. Thanks!
I attempted a Windows Clean Install. Where did you obtain the installer for your operating system? Completely eliminate GPU drivers using guru3d(DDU) and reinstall them. Remove all drivers (Intel, AMD, Nvidia) in Safe Mode, then manually reinstall with the newest driver version from Nvidia's support site via an elevated command. Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix B550-F GAMING (ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING). Current BIOS version? Power Supply: Corsair RM850x, 850W, 80 PLUS Gold (CP-9020188-EU). I would have suggested using a higher wattage PSU, around 1KW. What temperatures do you observe when the system is under load? Do you experience a drop in FPS or resolution if you lower the settings?
It seems wise to check the bios and ensure DOCP(Asus mobos) is activated for RAM. It isn't enabled by default (2400mhz), and doing so could boost performance slightly. The non-X3D AM4 models performed better with quicker RAM.
~Not necessarily, high-end components don’t bypass this. Understanding varying game engines means settings from one game won’t always work best for another. Adjusting them is part of the process.

This aligns more with 4K use, and for KC it’s based on a few YouTube impressions I’ve seen.
Playing games at 1440p ultrawide with a high resolution brings you closer to 4k quality. Benchmarks for cyberpunk indicate around 43 FPS at 4k and 80 at 1440p. A normal frame rate might be near 50 for your setup.
OS Installation Source: I carried out a fresh Windows setup using the built-in reset tool.
I ran DDU in safe mode to remove both AMD and Nvidia drivers. When you mention "elevated," do you mean downloading drivers with admin privileges? I’m not sure, but I’m trying to understand your point.
BIOS Version: My motherboard’s BIOS version is 2803 x64.
I wanted to ask without upsetting you, but I’m wondering why you suggest a 1kW power supply instead of the 850W recommended by the store. I’m not questioning your advice, just seeking clarity since the store suggested 850W.
During gaming, both GPU and CPU stay between 50-80°C, though 80°C is uncommon. In idle times, temperatures sit around 30-40°C.
I’ve been tweaking the resolution settings, but performance hasn’t improved much. Just a heads-up—I’m using the ACER PREDATOR X34 GS 34.
As mentioned before, the UQHD monitor costs roughly 15% more than the standard QHD version. The 3080ti is a powerful card, but those games you play are still tough even at that price point. It might be a hardware bug related to BIOS. If your system uses an older AGESA version (1.2.0.7 or newer), that could be the cause.
I went through BIOS and turned on DOCP.
I’m not very experienced with this, but I noticed the BCLK frequency was at 100 when I enabled DOCP.
I’m not sure what BCLK means or if 100 is accurate.
Yeah, I get it now. It seems like I should have done it differently.
It’s an ACER PREDATOR X34 GS 34, a 2K monitor.
Yes, there is an enhancement in performance following the DOCP adjustment.
IN THEORY.
The 3080ti is a 350W card if it runs normally so the power spikes can reach double that at 700W which would only leave 150W for your CPU and everything else in your system. So to prevent crashes or shut downs from transient spikes he is suggesting 1k.
In practice if you don't have any issues don't change anything.
