I tested cinebench and achieved a score of 13947. The temperatures in HWInfo stayed around 85-89 degrees. The boost clock was at 4250mhz. Others report values near 15000. Might the cooling system be the problem, or is this typical? I own an Arctic Freezer 34 eSports Duo CPU cooler.

The result looks accurate for 4250MHz. It seems many users who achieve better scores are reducing the CPU voltage, which brings it nearer to 4.4/4.5GHz during R23. Another tip is to set every other program and run R23 as high priority in Task Manager.

It essentially means the voltage is low, which leads to improved performance.

Thanks, man. I'm going to adjust the priority. It seems to be operating below normal. All the apps are already closed, so that shouldn't be an issue.

The main focus was on fixing the issue there, hehe. Now I’m checking scores near 14,500.

Consider using the PBO Tuner. It performs better than undervolting.

Can vary by motherboard; ASUS included Curve optimizer in the BIOS for the 5800X3D now. Other makers might adopt it later. I tested this weekend with a -30 all-core setting, boosting performance to around 4450Mhz single core (peak 4550) and 4374-4399 Cinebench R23 scores of 14730 points without issues. PBO tuner already offers this feature, so you can use it in Windows via a manual task or automatic update. I've noticed some users pushing their X3D further than me—maybe it's a lottery result, or I just need to tweak it a bit more. It would be great if 4450Mhz all-core became standard, as it seems to be a cap. Edit: Updating my chipset driver in Windows also helped; I hadn't updated since 2020 with my 5600X and it prevented the 50Mhz drop under heavy use.

Curious about your setup, right? With the 5800x3d running fans at 60% and the pump at full speed, you're hitting a max score of 14200 on Cinebench with high priority enabled. Your clocks are clocking in around 4.21 GHz, and temperatures are near 75°C.

Your score of 13947 fits within normal ranges. The numbers reflect standard performance under default CPU voltages, which naturally run cooler at 85-90°C during full load in Cinebench. Slightly lower clock speeds explain the modest results. No task manager issues arose because excessive priority settings caused instability—rendering or opening programs didn’t interfere. For optimal results, adjust BIOS settings to reduce core voltage by -30 in Curve Optimizer. This should cut temperatures by 7-9°C, boost clocks by 200MHz, and improve performance in both games and Cinebench23. Avoid higher task manager priorities; they often trigger crashes or unresponsiveness. Stick with defaults unless you need specific optimization.

You recently assembled your initial PC setup with a 5800X3D, 3060 Ti, paired with a ROG Ryujin 360 AIO. During several bench tests, consistent temperatures of 80°C were recorded while maintaining stable clock speeds around 4780-4830 MHz.
