To simplify the process, you can directly install Win10 without going through 8.1 again. You’ll need the installation media, which you can create from the ISO file. A key isn’t required for the setup unless you’re using a specific version. Just follow the instructions on the USB drive to boot into Windows 10.
After confirming your installation, it will automatically recognize Windows 10 and eliminate the need for prior steps like installing Windows 8.
Upgrading from 7/8.1 to 10 (with activation) means you don’t have to search for your key anymore. Keys for the upgraded version are standard, and I can demonstrate at least 50 devices that share the same key.
