To simplify the process, you can directly install Win10 without going through 8.1 again. You’ll need the installation media, which you can create from the ISO file. A key isn’t required for the setup unless you’re using a specific version. Just follow the instructions on the USB drive to boot into Windows 10.

Windows 10 activation means simply remove the USB drive, wipe all partitions (like Remake 1 or 2), and proceed with installation. The system will automatically activate when prompted.

After confirming your installation, it will automatically recognize Windows 10 and eliminate the need for prior steps like installing Windows 8.

Interesting fact—didn't realize that. Or go for Belarc. Check your key and turn it on during setup.

You're asking about doing version 1 or 2 again and then installing it.

After removing the old partitions, rearrange them so the new drive exceeds 1TB. Divide it into a minimum of two partitions.

My main storage is a 250 GB Samsung EVO SSD. I plan to install two 1 TB Seagate Barracuda drives in RAID1 configuration.

Upgrading from 7/8.1 to 10 (with activation) means you don’t have to search for your key anymore. Keys for the upgraded version are standard, and I can demonstrate at least 50 devices that share the same key.
