Hi, it's been quite some time since I tried to upgrade my own PC (my last big change was from a 386 to a 486). I'm building one from scratch now, but the price of Windows 10 is making me hesitate. My wife works at university and she’s found that 'Windows 10 Education' costs only £7.50. That seems odd, but can it be used on a regular home PC? Are there any concerns I should know about before I go this way? Cheers, Chris

The available couple of features resemble Windows 10 Pro. A brief online search can clarify which options are turned off.

Seems you won’t connect to Cortana on Windows 10 Education… *Purchase a copy right away*

Also, many versions of Windows let you pay later for an upgrade. For example, switch from Home to Pro if needed. Additionally, Windows 10 is significantly more affordable than Windows 7. The retail price for Windows 10 Home was $119 USD, whereas I paid more than $200 USD for Windows 7 Home a month after it launched. You can also find OEM versions of Win 10 at a lower cost compared to the retail ones.
