You're considering upgrading your Xeon E3-1245 to either a Ryzen 5 3600 or an i3-12100F. Overclocking is achievable on the Ryzen 5 3600 with B450/550, but I'm uncertain about the same for Intel Alder Lake. The BCLK overclocking isn't my main concern, as it seems limited to high-end boards. My goal is to push the i3-12100F to its maximum 4.3GHz across all cores, should that CPU become available. Regarding turbo overclocking on H610 and B660, I'm not sure if it's exclusive to Z Series boards. I'm also curious about undervolting options for the i3-12100F on these chipsets—can the voltage be adjusted via BIOS or ThrottleStop, or is it disabled due to Plundervolt issues? Let me know!

Unless you purchase a premium motherboard that allows BCLK overclocking, you won't be overclocking any non-K Intel CPU. According to what I understand, recent Intel processors don't have speed caps tied to active cores, meaning the i3 12100F should run at around 4.3 all-core. You can lower the voltage with H and B series boards, but not every board with the same chipset does—so verify first.
