Hi everyone, I'm curious about Windows 10's stability. It was released a bit over a month ago, but since I rely on it heavily for streaming and heavy tasks, I wanted to know what issues people face. Have any of you upgraded before? What problems did you encounter—slowdowns, crashes, general bugs? Should I hold off for six months or proceed now? Thanks ahead!
I think I should wait another month or two. So far, I haven’t encountered any issues with the 5 units, but I often see discussions about Windows 10 problems. Usually it’s because they don’t perform a clean installation.
Details? Not really. Your specs can shape how much it breaks for you. EDIT: meh, not sure about the GTX 960 drivers at all
It's reliable, though some features don't quite fit well with it. That's up to other developers to resolve, not Microsoft. I'd wait a bit longer. My main PC is still running Windows 7.
I would prefer to keep using Windows 7 until the final release of Windows 10 arrives. I’m currently using Windows 10 home on my laptop and a desktop at home. Occasionally the Wi-Fi behaves strangely, and sometimes applications seem to close unexpectedly. Since these problems are considered upgrades from Windows 7, I wouldn’t have noticed them at the time. The stable release is expected soon, and after roughly three months most issues should be fixed. That’s just my take.
I upgraded 4 PCs on day one (2 desktops, 1 laptop, 1 tablet) to Windows 10. None encountered problems with my software or games. The only issue was during the initial hours when Windows updates graphics drivers, sometimes causing a brief black screen before the next reboot. (Usually resolves after 5+ minutes or a restart)
