I'm considering purchasing this PSU: SILVER STONE ST50EF 500W 80 PLUS Certified and planning to overclock my Amd fx-8150 8 core CPU from 3.6 to around 4.2ghz. I expect it will only increase the TDP to about 150 from 125. I'm likely buying this motherboard to pair with the CPU ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0, as I've heard positive reviews and a 750 Ti GPU or a mid-range one so the GPU won't consume much power. Do you think I should opt for a better PSU or is the 500W unit sufficient for this task?

with a 750ti a decent 400 would suffice. but a 970 class card, featuring 970 power draws (not 380 power draws), will be acceptable.

varies based on the rest of your setup, especially what it could be in the coming 2 to 3 years.

For a mid-range graphics card (up to a GTX 970), the Silverstone PSU should suffice.

Yeah I detailed what my system is ^^ and I won't be upgrading anytime soon just casual gamer and bought a cheap fx-8150 off a friend so thought I'd build a cheap rig.. so yeah just wondering if what I've listed up there (gpu/cpu/motherboard) will be handled by that PSU generally, will also maybe have an SSD
