Setting up a new PC with a 13900k processor and likely 64GB of 6400 DDR5 RAM sounds solid. While searching for a motherboard, it’s surprising how hard it is to justify going beyond the MSI MAG Z790 TOMAHAWK if you’re not planning any overclocking. Are there any overlooked factors?

On the market it's acceptable; overclocking could work for some users too. However, once that happens the cooling system will get quite hot and a fan should be directed at the board. Keep in mind that a 6400 with 64GB RAM isn't guaranteed to perform well—depending on your CPU's quality you might find better results with lower clock speeds like 6000 CL30/32 instead.

I’m not sure about the exact differences between those two kits, but both are solid options. Stability and performance can depend on many factors like build quality and tuning. You might want to compare reviews or specs for a clearer picture.

5600 CL28 has a higher theoretical chance of success, yet both perform consistently in real-world use. They share the same memory slot, meaning a 6000 CL30 unit will work with it and vice versa if you adjust settings manually. I recommend choosing the more affordable option—6000 CL30—and switch to 5600 CL28 once any problems appear.
