It's just the chassis speaker, the one that produces the bothersome beep when you power up the computer. I believe most contemporary cases no longer include one.

To get a sound when your PC starts, you can purchase a separate buzzer. Alternatively, if you need real audio, there should be a 3.5mm jack on the back of the device—this is where you'd connect speakers for listening to music or watching videos.
