Check if the monitor is powered on and connected properly.
Yesterday I tried turning on my PC, but the monitor didn’t work. I took it to a repair shop which said the VGA port was dead. I tried using an HDMI to VGA converter, but it still didn’t connect. Could anyone have faced this issue before or know a solution?
If the PC's VGA port is non-functional, simply using an HDMI-to-VGA adapter won't help; you'd need a different connection type. At the store, did you notice the machine powering on through alternative methods? Were they able to explain their diagnosis process? Can the monitor show other devices? Would it work with another PC or laptop? Have you experimented with a different cable instead?
What are your computer's specifications? Does the VGA connection be found on the motherboard or the graphics card?
You might attempt to locate and set up an inexpensive, low-end or used GPU just for a different display output. But because you hinted earlier that your PC isn’t fully booting, this approach might not fix the problem. If you choose this path, be sure you can return the GPU if it fails to work.
