Hi, so Im using Biostar X370 GT-3 Team Nighthawk 16 gigs 8X2 Ryzen 2400 G Nvidia 1060 6 Gigs So, my main problem is I have 16 Gigs of RAM, but it only detected as 8 Gigs And there's some conflicting information On the main page of the bios its only detected as 8 Gigs, but somehow have 2 sticks of ram on the graphic Spoiler While on other page "memory insight" it detected both sticks Spoiler It detected as 16 gigs on CPU-z, but only 8 at task manger Spoiler And both RAM RGB lights are on Spoiler I was wondering if someone had the same problem or if someone can help Thanks
Remove both sticks and reinsert them once the system is powered down. This ensures that if a stick doesn’t post correctly, the memory controller removes it from use.
When you slightly adjust the RAM settings, it’s likely the system won’t recognize it properly, causing a long beep from the speakers. However, the RGB lights on the RAM should still activate.
The LEDs indicating they are getting power confirms the connection is active.

the memory controller is located inside the CPU. When the board powers up, it immediately activates the cooling fans for temperature regulation, which is normal. What happened was that the RAM failed to pass the memory testing stage, while the other stick succeeded. It didn’t completely stop working, but it no longer functions properly. That’s why I recommended removing the faulty stick and reinserting it.
It fails if I reseat it on the same slot, then I tried to put it in other slots, and after trying all combination, it will somehow post but with only 8 gigs detected like X1X2 > works (with X being blank, and 1 and 2 is the 1st and 2 RAM respectively) pull it and reseat it into the same combination X1X2 > doesnt post with memory error beep X2X1 > 1X2X > 2X1X > X1X2 > repeats until it randomly post I even tried some X12X and such even if I know that'll turn off their dual channel So there's a chance it's my CPU that's faulty I never considering that
