11 generation is just a joke! The price difference is only 60 USD more than 10850K.
I wouldn't worry about it. I received a 5800x from AMD Store, but ended up returning it. Most folks avoid discussing it, and I'm sure they'll have some complaints if I say so. Based on my experience, AMD CPUs and motherboards tend to be more complicated and have more quirks compared to Intel. The memory problems with AGESA really highlight that issue. Still, AMD has delivered a strong CPU and made significant progress, even surpassing Intel in some areas. Memory remains their biggest challenge, though. The third-gen memory controller is limiting their performance. If they solve that, it would be tougher to recommend Intel for anything.
For my needs the distinction is minimal and probably not worth worrying about. I can't confirm it for your situation, but I’d definitely save time and just choose one. Grab one and begin working or playing right away.
