Played Witcher 3 and adjusted my FPS settings. Used 90s to 130s with 1080 on Ultra, skipping hair effects. CPU usage spiked from 20% to 88%, staying under 50% at best. GPU hit highs in the mid-90s to 99%, with brief drops to around 80% before rebounding to 97%-99%. It looks like I’m getting bottlenecked or the game isn’t optimized well for my hardware.
It's okay. Witcher 3 consumes quite a bit of CPU power, that's all.
It's really challenging to handle. You're facing interruptions instead of slowdowns. I recommend switching your PC to high performance mode.
Stuttering might be linked to high GPU usage, but it doesn’t really affect me much. The game works well, and those brief hiccups are occasional. My clock speeds stay steady, and overall performance is smooth. I don’t want to push my GPU to its limits for something so minor. I’m not sure it would make a big difference.
Everything is running smoothly with no CPU delays. You're definitely making it complicated, but you're utilizing the GPU effectively.
High performance prevents your CPU from entering low-power states during idle times. You can also limit your frame rate without using VSync. Your 1080p resolution is designed for 1440@60 or 2160@60. You're achieving solid results, but if you aim for better performance, consider enabling DSR.
I rely on VSYNC, but it keeps tearing even when capped at FPS, which is frustrating. I was just checking how my performance would look. Also, I won’t keep everything running at maximum speed. I won’t let C-States interfere. The stutters I feel are those 0.x frame drops that make VSYNC drop to 30 and then jump back up, even though the MSI AB FPS counter doesn’t reflect it.
