It is available without an operating system from Gigabyte. Third-party vendors might add an OS based on the hardware setup.

It lacks essential components, meaning you must purchase RAM, SSD, and operating system separately.

The review units for YouTube videos are typically provided by local gigabyte resellers who also include OS SSD/ram and additional components. These sellers often offer bundles or just the essential parts, leaving you to source everything else yourself, including the operating system. The Brix Pro alone isn’t included with the OS. I purchased my Brix Pro RAM and SSD separately since I have a Windows university license. I burned the image onto a USB drive and booted it first to install. They provided a driver CD that you must transfer all files onto a USB to enable WiFi functionality. Make sure you have a laptop or external drive ready during setup. One source mentioned the Brix Pro i7 can support a 2133MHz RAM stick in each bay, but be cautious—most 2133MHz SODIMM modules are rated for 1.5V, while Brix only supports 1.35V. I’m not very experienced with this, but I think undervolting RAM isn’t too risky (though please confirm). This shouldn’t be a major issue, but it’s quite frustrating because every startup triggers an AMBIOS warning that demands an F1 press to clear. It seems the BIOS doesn’t have a silent mode. At the time of purchase, the gigabyte support page listed 2133MHz modules, but there wasn’t actually a 2133MHz 1.35V SODIMM stick available—just a note in the specs. That left me with a bit of a headache. TL;DR: Get it as a complete package unless you’re comfortable handling the details. Watch RAM voltage settings closely. Don’t rush into this if you’re new.
