I already have an affordable Chinese controller for my PS1 emulator and it works well. But when I tried using it with straight PC games it didn’t function properly. I’m considering buying this Acteck AGJ-3350 Xtreme (designed for smaller hands) – it seems to work with a few Xbox/PS3-based PC games, especially those originally made for consoles and later adapted for PC. The games I’m interested in are: 1. Naruto shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst 2. Revolution 3. Avatar the Legend of Korra 3. Dead Island (maybe). My main concern is whether the controller layout matches what’s on my Xbox 360 gamepad, since the diagram looks similar.
The question checks whether the Acteck controller matches the required buttons and design for compatibility with Xbox 360-style games.
If you can't discover another option, consider using Xpadder. It’s a tool that lets you connect your keyboard keys and mouse actions to a controller, essentially mimicking your usual input. You can purchase the newest version for $9.99 at the provided link or try the free version, which is quite outdated. I personally use the free version without any issues. I’ve applied it with Xbox 360 and Logitech F310 controllers for various games, including older titles that don’t support controllers. Good luck—setting it up might seem tricky at first, but there are plenty of tutorials on YouTube to guide you.
There should also exist a tool to make any controller appear as a X360 controller for improved compatibility. I don’t recall the exact name from memory.
