I've seen these claims from Hong Kong. Some say MS doesn't enforce their rules. Others claim their computers sometimes let unauthorized access in. I understand they track activation servers through research papers. The issue is, you can't rely on them in six months if they decide to resell your key. It's like a fish and chip shop that constantly changes management to avoid failing health inspections. You know what you're eating is bad for you, but the cost is so low you end up buying more.

Discussing software piracy, Linus clarifies the legal boundaries. He emphasizes that Microsoft Terms dictate licensing, not activation status. The conversation touches on practical alternatives to avoid watermarks and the importance of respecting agreements. Ultimately, the safest approach is to keep the software unactivated indefinitely. For specific scenarios, testing and transparency are key, but always consider the risks involved.

It's worth mentioning that LMG holds over 25 Win10 Pro licenses. This means they could enable them, though short installation windows make it more challenging. They aren't really taking advantage since they're already paying, just not activating.

Semantics - LMG deliberately avoids destroying Windows 10 activations, and no matter their justification, it doesn't elevate them above a user who simply skips installing a key. I don’t mind how others view my "virtue" as it’s just performative praise, exactly what Linus is doing. You’re fully aware of the situation. It’s either a clear violation or not, depending on your perspective. From my perspective (and Linus') it’s not wrong because I’m evaluating the hardware.

It's your personal rest time—might miss it. I'm not referring to legal or illegal matters here. Still, I think if you're trying to test, you should still cover the license cost for MS coders handling (poor) work. If that doesn't sit well, switch to Linux.

Semantics is the field of linguistics and logic focused on meaning. It has various branches and subfields, such as formal semantics that examines logical elements of meaning, lexical semantics that explores word meanings and relationships, and conceptual semantics that looks at how meaning is structured in thought. It’s about understanding language—it’s not about consensus, but about debating your perspective on logic that seems to ignore the rules. Some argue it’s fine since he’s already exchanged money with Microsoft, but others claim this violates the laws and EULA (terms of service), regardless of your stance. These concepts are central here—terms like legal, illegal, and compliance are all relevant in this conversation. Even if your view differs, we can move forward testing our approach.
