I have an i5-12600k and an ASRock Z690 Steel Legend. I turned on turbo in the BIOS and it’s stuck at 3.6GHz or lower. In Valorant I’m getting 250fps or less. A few months ago my SSD failed and I had to reset the BIOS, which caused issues. Now I notice my PC is usually running around 3.4/3.5Ghz while playing, whereas before it was consistently 350-500fps. I’m trying to figure out why this is happening.

Turn off CMOS reset and enable XMP after clearing CMOS to check if it resolves the issue, possibly due to incorrect BIOS settings.

Used UserBenchmark for testing. Result averaged 3.45ghz turbo... I’ll proceed to check further.

@Meestagibbon Consider testing ThrottleStop 9.6 at https://www.techpowerup.com/download/tec...rottlestop. Capture screenshots of the main window, FIVR and TPL interfaces. This demonstrates how the BIOS configures your CPU. Enable Log File mode before launching a game. After testing, close the game and ThrottleStop to finalize the log file, which should reside in your ThrottleStop/Logs directory. Include this log in your next post. Some games may restrict turbo power settings, lowering CPU P cores to base frequency (3.70 GHz). Review screenshots and the log for troubleshooting clues. Are you running any Valorant-related software?
