Check if the cooler works with your CPU model.
Hello. I'm using an LGA 1151 CPU with a water cooler (Corsair H60) and considering a upgrade to an 12th gen socket (1700). I'm wondering if the cooler will fit properly.
You'd have to purchase replacement mounting hardware, as the actual holes are different. However, if you obtain that hardware it should function properly. Keep in mind, a 120mm AIO probably won't enhance cooling for an LGA 1700 that lacks sufficient stock cooling.
Sure, I can help with that. Let me find the information for you.
Which H60 version do you have? The CWCH60 or the CW-9060036-WW? The LGA1700 Retrofit Kit (SKU CW-8960091) works with the CW-9060036-WW. The CWCH60 isn't compatible with LGA 1700.
https://www.newegg.com/p/13K-00HX-00001?...lsrc=aw.ds There's this for it (first link I found). That said, don't pay $25 for this, for that amount you can get a whole new cooler that will perform just as well and last much longer since it's not an AIO. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09Q7XVZ2V/ref...ljaz10cnVl
Laughs in zip ties it will work because most of the weight is in the radius, so the block will be simple to secure. No need to discard anything that still functions properly.
Holes remain identical, yet 1700 is less than 1200 and 115 times btw. Spoiler
Alder Lake chips display unusual power usage patterns depending on the SKU, with some models around 60W such as the 12400F and others reaching 150W or more like the 12700. None fall within the typical 80-120W range that fits a single tower cooler or a 120mm AIO. This suggests either the chip can't be overclocked and the stock cooler suffices, or it can be overclocked but the cooling isn't sufficient.
They offer m.2 and m.3 long screws and nuts at Ace Hardware. With a bright light and a second pair of hands, it’s simple to install and adjust the tension there.
