Hello, a few months ago I used Macrium Reflect Free to clone the internal SSD of my PC to an external SSD. When I connected the external drive, it appeared when I double-clicked the PC icon. I repeated the cloning steps, but after completion, the external SSD no longer showed up. In Macrium Reflect, it still appears when I double-click the task bar at the bottom right, and the removal option is visible. After rebooting the computer, the issue persists. How can I make it show again?

Please display a screenshot of your Disk Management window first.

You referred to Disk Management on Windows, but the issue is with Macrium's screenshot not expanding properly.

There are two internal NVMe SSDs on my dual-boot system. One is for Windows and the other for Linux. I created a clone of Disk1, which has Windows installed, onto Disk3, an external SSD housed in a Sabrent enclosure. Are Disk1 and Disk2 identical internal NVMe SSDs with Windows installed?

Your Macrium display lists Disks 1, 2, 3 while Disk Management lists 0, 1, 2. The Macrium window indicates that Disk 2 (970 EVO - Windows) was not cloned to Disk 3 (Sabrent). It seems you created a clone of Disk 1 (another 970 EVO Plus) to the Sabrent drive.

The naming of the disks differs between Macrium and Disk Manager due to their distinct interfaces. After quitting both applications, the issue persists because Windows continues to display the same error message related to USB storage devices.

I don't understand why it's producing that error.
However, the issue seems to be about why a clone is being requested.
If this is for backup purposes, a Macrium record is generally better.

I also employ additional backup techniques.
