The new motherboard is fully compatible. I switched from the smaller MSI board to the larger MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX ATX AM4 without any issues.

It works fine, actually. I’d recommend a higher-quality PSU though. That link points to a model priced about $35 more, but it offers superior performance. Your original choice should still function properly.

The board won’t recognize DDR4 3600, so you might need to replace the RAM sticks with 3200 models.

When XMP is active, you should be able to run 3600 RAM without issues—though it might work better with two sticks rather than four. Wait... Gen 3 only? It might be safer to stick with 3200; the difference won’t be noticeable.
