I'm not sure about the exact details, but the manual mentions that SATA6G_E1-2 ports don't support RAID or boot drivers. It's possible Blu-Ray drives aren't considered boot devices there. Check the official documentation for confirmation.

The disk drive won't serve as your boot drive. Everything should be okay.
