I'm just starting out with PC building, so don't worry too much. You already have a case, RAM, and GPU. I've heard some issues about the 7800x3d blowing up on AsRock boards recently—does that still happen? The A850 LiveMixer looks great, and the aesthetic appeal is nice. I also learned that B650 boards might not be available anymore. The 7800x3d is known for being a fast CPU at a reasonable price right now. Should you proceed with these parts or look for safer alternatives in the same budget for both CPU and motherboard?
I only see issues with the 9000 line but not the 7000. They initially tried to shift responsibility, pointing to user mistakes and memory problems. Since Asus has had similar RMA challenges before, it’s hard to say they’re reliable. I’ve used an ASRock B550 board in 2021 without any trouble, so I wouldn’t claim their products are faulty. They handle issues similarly, just attribute them elsewhere. Consider this advice if you’re concerned about business practices.
