Memtest has finished all four passes and, although mismatched manufacturers aren't perfect, the current RAM setup seems stable now. Thanks for your assistance—previously I thought my MOBO was damaging the RAM, but it looks like I might have been unlucky with those Hynix sticks.
After submitting my work overnight, I began experiencing boot failures upon waking. It would boot properly when the BIOS settings were reset, and I managed to restore XMP settings successfully. I’m wondering if this issue is due to the mismatch between the two manufacturers, or if it’s a problem that requires a compatible manufacturing kit. When I first assemble a machine, I usually let memtest run all night. Ensure you're using the version that boots from USB—it has more tests than the one running under Windows. If it completes the entire night without errors, it should be okay. It's odd that it passes the memory test but fails later. It might be related to temperature.
This issue isn't restricted to just two manufacturers. You could purchase two kits with two sticks each from the same company, with identical specifications, and they might not work together even if you combine one stick from each kit.
The only reliable approach is to always buy four memory sticks in a single kit. It's still possible it won't function properly. You should check the manufacturer's website for the list of tested kits to ensure compatibility.
Keep experimenting with different timing and power settings, but be persistent. Many years ago I did this extensively, but now manufacturers tend to focus only on overclockable memory, so I stick to standard kits like everyone else does.
