Following regular cleanings, the printouts on my Epson P700 for VM and VML are either empty or display only faint ink traces (random short lines). It appears those two lines are obstructed and/or contain air. Epson advises against running power cleaning if ink levels are low. Would the absence of ink flow be identical to having no ink? Thanks to all.

This printer?

Was the printer indicating "low ink" in any way?
How recent is the printer? The reason for this inquiry has two aspects:
1) The original ink cartridges included with the printer are typically not full. Are you using the original cartridges, or have they been replaced? Are the current cartridges Epson or from a third party? Do you have refills or refurbished ones?
2) Is there still a warranty on the printer?

Following the installation of new cartridges, the printer required several minutes to recognize itself. A nozzle inspection confirmed that all channels, including the VM and VLM, were functioning properly. It seems the printer likely executed a head charge process, injecting ink into those specific channels.
