Check if MSI GTX 970 supports gaming with 4G overclocking.
Hello,
I'm checking if overclocking my MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4g affects Core Voltage and if it's important for the process. I've shared the setup here: https://i.gyazo.com/a86295899a1f319b2c7c...af9b1b.png
I think I'm limited to this point
🙁
So let's keep it steady with these clocks, just like the screenshots show.
However, the inquiry revolves around determining the appropriate core voltage for the device.
I think the GTX970 only supports a small increase in core voltage, unlike some other cards that let you boost the Vcore significantly. Even if you set the Vcore to its maximum in Afterburner, it won’t raise the temperatures much and won’t help much.
It seems you can only add a small amount of extra core voltage, as the GX970 didn't support a large Vcore boost like some other cards. Even with Vcore set to maximum in Afterburner, it won't significantly raise the temperatures. I tried 1500mhz on air and now manage 1650mhz with water cooling; I used a custom modded BIOS to get the extra voltage. Thanks a lot.
