I'm running MSI afterburner continuously, so I'm curious about the safety of keeping it on that way. Current settings: power limit at 105%, core clock at +120, memory clock at +550, fan speed at 42%. Temperatures are between 34-38°C for both GPU and CPU. The machine is an i7-7700k+MSI 1070 with 8GB RAM.
Yes it looks fine, but I have to ask, why are you controlling the fan speed? it would probably perform better on auto
octavecode :
The OC looks fine but make a proper Fan Profile don't use a fixed speed and i would not recommend using stock profile either for OC.
I did what you suggested but can I get my core clock to 180 mhz and call it a day(can it be used 24/7?)
yes you can if the temperatures are fine. you should verify your readings using "unigine heaven" with all settings enabled and unlocked frames.... avoid testing with FurMark.
