It's not necessary to exclude that item since the CPU was purchased, which likely reflects how the business managed stock. The SMD parts aren't connected to the socket at all.

Avoid trying to take it off—removing the adhesive could damage tiny components and possibly harm the CPU. It's best to keep it intact.
