I have a Realtek RTL8723AE in my 2014 laptop. The newest Intel card I can fit is the Intel Wireless-AC 9260 (5 GHz, Bluetooth 5.0, 2017 model). The price on Scan.co.uk is around £17, but it goes up to £22.50 after delivery, and £24 on Amazon.co.uk. On eBay UK it starts from about £11.50, though it’s shipped from within the UK by a Chinese seller. A screenshot is attached for reference. Would you like me to check if these listings are genuine?

They're likely to send it from China regardless.

They'll send it from the UK, but if issues arise, they typically expect you to send it back to China. Nevertheless, eBay usually supports me when I mention purchasing from the UK, so I won’t incur extra costs for returning to another country.

Why avoid purchasing from Amazon? https://www.amazon.com/s?k=wifi+card+for...b_ss_i_6_9 Numerous choices and nearly 99% dependable. eBay offers less consistency.

I now know my laptop is limited to HMC cards like the Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 (7260HMW version), not M.2 cards.
