Uncertain about DX12's release details. Is it relying more on the CPU or less? Should you invest more in the CPU or downgrade the GPU? Could adding more CPU threads noticeably boost performance? Let me know!

Suggesting a GPU downgrade isn't a smart move. DirectX 12 aims to lower CPU load, but we should hold off until it's fully supported.

It’s going to take a while before we get to see DX12 games, so let’s skip that right now.

DX12 will boost drawing performance. Early tests revealed that using additional cores increases draw calls per second. Their data indicates the i7 5820K offers the strongest value versus the 5830K and 5860K models.

They aim to combine the built-in CPU graphics with the separate GPU in DX12. This approach could greatly boost GPU speed through a mixed graphics system.

Direct X12 and Vulkan minimize CPU demand, lowering processing load. The workload spreads across additional cores, improving efficiency. For gaming, prioritize GPU investment instead. These newer APIs support this trend, enhancing performance for your fx-6300.
