Hello, I've come across discussions about enabling Intel default settings because some manufacturers claim they could harm CPU performance. Through my own testing, I noticed that Intel defaults tend to run hotter at lower clock speeds and show higher voltage peaks—sometimes reaching over 1.5 volts. This has left me questioning whether it's truly advantageous to use the Intel defaults. I'm using an ASUS Prime Z790-A WIFI with the latest BIOS. I'm seeking advice from more experienced users. The first image shows ASUS defaults, and the second shows Intel defaults. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Usual settings work better. Intel defaults are more reliable.

You're referring to a noticeable gap in performance, around 2k points, and it seems the Intel-based systems aren't reaching their maximum potential during CineBench tests.

Use the bio interface to set a 1.25v static voltage on the core and run the default tests—everything seems fine.

You're not limited to Intel or Asus. With a K SKU CPU and a Z-series chipset board, you can customize your configuration. Set a fixed Vcore as recommended by @Ebony Falcon.
