Hello, based on your setup from 2018, you should be able to run games at 2560x1080p with mid to high settings. Your hardware looks capable for that resolution.

Consider upgrading to a DDR4 RAM if your board supports it for better performance.

I wouldn't bother. Upgrades would need additional RAM. A budget can be useful when you're making such requests. Remember to add tags or quotes when responding. Welcome to the forum!

Everything looks alright. The performance meets expectations for most titles.

You already possess DDR4 if your system uses a 7400. The RX 470 offers limited performance for 2560*1080 resolution, while the 7400 would suffice for something like an RX 580. For a similar setup to the RX 580, consider the part list from PCPartPicker: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/spx4Bb. The price details are available here: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/spx4Bb/by_merchant/ CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 2600 3.4GHz 6-Core Processor ($165.99 @ Walmart) Motherboard: ASRock - B450 Pro4 ATX AM4 ($91.98 @ Newegg) RAM: Kingston - FURY 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR4-2400 ($0) RAM: Kingston - FURY 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR4-2400 ($0) RAM: Kingston - FURY 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR4-2400 ($0) Storage: Crucial - MX500 500GB SSD ($99.89 @ OutletPC) Graphics: EVGA - GeForce GTX 1070 8GB SC GAMING ACX 3.0 Black Edition ($409.99 @ Amazon) Case: Phanteks - Eclipse P300 Tempered Glass (Black, ATX Mid Tower) ($59.99 @ Amazon) Cooling: Corsair - TXM Gold 650W (80+ Gold Certified, Semi-Modular ATX) ($54.98 @ Newegg) Overall cost comes to $929.81. This includes shipping, taxes, and any available discounts. If you already have an SSD, you can repurpose it. A PSU rated Tier 3 or higher will also work well.

This claim is incorrect. The 7400 supports both DDR4 and DDR3, so you can't rely solely on that fact. Since the user's motherboard uses DDR3, their setup matches that configuration. Their system is functioning well, and they could upgrade to something like an RX580 or better if they wish to boost gaming performance further. Any limitations would be minor compared to the capabilities of a new PC, making it not worthwhile.
