I reviewed the discussion thread; the stutters are visible in the frame rate graph tool, indicating a display problem rather than a screen issue. I noticed that others haven’t recommended using a spare drive or installing a clean Windows copy to test performance. This approach can help determine whether the problem lies with hardware or BIOS settings.
I’m not sure if I mentioned this idea before or if you overlooked it while reading quickly. I’ve tried a fresh installation and then purchased several drives, but the problem persists. One person recommended using Ubuntu, though it seems to cause more issues there.
I notice the problem might stem from a hardware or BIOS concern. Have you attempted restoring the BIOS to its original settings? Also, try booting with RAM at JEDEC speed (2133MHz) during a fresh installation. Did you use a Windows installer USB drive?
BIOS seems to be the problem-free side, I’m sure. The hardware appears to be uncertain. Everything was running at default settings since mid July. Yes. What resolved my issue was the refresh rate. For some strange reason, pushing above 120Hz on my ASUS TUF Gaming VG279QM last year caused all issues. Yes, I swapped in a new cable and a different GPU. Extremely frustrating. I also upgraded to a 1300W PSU and switched to Windows 11. Before setting up the OS, I kept everything stock unless I disabled A-XMP. I’m using 3200Hz instead of the 3600 recommended for the 3900x model. I’ll let the GPU handle itself and keep PBO off. If anyone has a suggestion for a better monitor, please share. Preferred specs: 1080p, 240-360Hz, compact size, G-SYNC (not just compatible), eye care.
