As long as it stays within 1.3 to 1.4v, it should work fine. The max Intel spec is around 1.35v, and these chips can handle up to 1.4 or even 1.42v as long as you maintain proper cooling.

It really depends on the luck of the draw. My 8700k chip performs well at 5.0 GHZ with 1.300v. If I upgraded it and paid closer attention, I might achieve even better results. The key is to run a proper stress test and confirm its stability. Maybe the OP had a fortunate chip!

Review the stability assessment in CPUz, noting the VID section. Under load, observe its behavior. For a genuine test, run AIDA64 for about 24 hours. How long did the XTU testing last?

However I adjusted the voltage offset back to the standard setting and the AIDA64 CPU is operating at 4.95ghz and occasionally 5.0ghz, while it consistently stays around 60°C
