Hey Guys, I’ve got an old HD6970 with 2GB of RAM. It’s still holding up really well compared to today’s consoles. I’m considering overclocking and have a Core Clock of 900Mhz and Memory Clock at 1375Mhz. Adding 20Mhz to each would make a difference? How much should I add on each side to get about 5 to 10 extra frames?

this card typically doesn't produce strong overclocking gains, particularly when paired with a reference cooler. Generally, ATI graphics aren't ideal for overclocking, as their heat generation tends to rise rapidly even with minor adjustments.

It's a 2% boost in core speed, which means you might see up to a 2% rise in FPS, like 50fps becoming 51. Usually, I don't overclock the memory because it doesn't really make much of a difference and can even be harmful.

Looking at it in proportion, that's merely a 2% boost, which in the game wouldn't be noticeable. Varying your settings and frame rate can result in 5-10 frames shifting between +50 mhz and +500 mhz.
