I don't recall what occurred, but suddenly my games started dropping frames in every title I've played. I typically play CSGO2 and Insurgency Sandstorm. My PC should handle all games smoothly, but after a few minutes it drops to 20-30 FPS, then quickly recovers to over 100 FPS.

To see what might be wrong, visit userbenchmark.com and share the link to your result, such as https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/28977730. Restore BIOS using a jumper or similar method (you'll need to adjust boot priority later). Verify Windows integrity. Launch the command prompt with admin rights and execute DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth. Follow the instructions on lifewire for opening an elevated command prompt. Refer to Microsoft support for clean boot guidance. Test memory using memtest.org on a bootable USB, and check the hard drive with its manufacturer's tool, updating firmware if needed.

I'm experiencing an issue with the battery, which might be leading to performance drops. After 20 to 30 minutes, the frame rate fluctuates between 30 to 20 frames per second and then returns to 100 to 90.

if the charger isn't connected correctly, it might mean the battery isn't sufficient and the system switches to a battery-saving mode.
