It isn't possible, I'm tracking it in-game with afterburner and it stays under 2.8GB. I've turned on virtual memory now and will check the results later.

BF4 experienced a crash due to a D3D error about insufficient video memory. This issue hasn't occurred before with Windows 10. The system used two EVGA GTX 980 SC graphics cards, each with 4GB VRAM. After reaching 6197MB, the game terminated unexpectedly. The VRAM usage was extremely high even when set to high performance.
