I've been working on installing Dolphin 4.0 and trying to enjoy Metal Arms, but the frame rate drops from 60 to around 5 and often stays near 20. Others seem to play more demanding Wii games on less powerful systems. Of course, the specs are there. Raising the resolution up to x1.5 doesn't improve performance much, so I suspect my CPU is limiting it. It's strange how weaker hardware handles things better than what I've seen. Anyone have tips for boosting FPS?

No, I haven't checked the video settings yet. Would you like me to do that?

Only tested the simulator with table tennis, and can't play the game without a Wii controller.

The sole game available is Animal Crossing. It's not particularly impressive, as it's mainly a N64 title.

While playing games such as Metal Arms, I experience brief interruptions where the frame rate drops to about 5 fps for a few seconds before returning to 33 fps. The emulation cores used are not operating under heavy strain.

Playing Super Mario Galaxy 2 on Dolphin has been a fun experience. I discovered a few tips that helped improve the setup. Try using the newest development version available—it seems to work well across different configurations. Just save it in a folder on your desktop. They’ve released several major updates, but it’s best to complete some tasks before a new official release. You can find the download here: https://dolphin-emu.org/download/.

Open the Nvidia Control Panel, navigate to 3D settings, and locate Dolphin. Scroll down to Power Management Mode, choose "Prefer Maximum Performance." In the settings, set the video backend to OpenGL. This configuration performs better with Nvidia graphics cards. Before my second attempt, my GPU kept operating in low power mode, running at around a few hundred MHz.
