You're facing an issue where Windows believes it's starting from a USB drive, preventing updates. Your boot drive is connected via SATA on the motherboard. The error messages you mentioned are attached for reference.

Restart the system. If no improvement occurs, revert to the prior Windows version and then proceed with an update.

Your motherboard's SATA controller drivers are labeling your SATA drive as removable, similar to a USB flash drive. Here’s how to fix it: Check the UEFI/BIOS settings for any options related to this. Ensure your SATA controller is configured in AHCI mode. Navigate to Device Manager, select Disk drives, and double-click your main drive installed with Windows. Under the "Policies" tab, confirm "Better performance" is selected and not "quick removal." If not, restart your system. Open the registry editor (regedit) and edit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control. Verify that PortableOperatingSystem is set to 0, double-click it to assign a value, then restart your PC and test again.

Proceed with Step 3 after confirming the registry entry. Check the specified location and share a screenshot of Disk Manager for reference.
