I frequently use CSGO and today I changed my resolution from widescreen to 4:3 without a native option. My second monitor image keeps shifting, which is frustrating while watching streams or videos. Are there any useful tools—paid or free—that let you assign hotkeys for resetting the resolution? That way you can switch easily between settings during gameplay.

Have you checked for a command-line approach? I suggest testing a monitor at non-native resolutions.

Command line method? Not sure what that means, right? Also, I prefer 1920 for browsing and watching videos, and using the screen resolution settings in Win8.1 becomes frustrating because I keep switching tabs and have to change the resolution each time, which would be really annoying.

Play the game in full screen on a Windows machine. This prevents annoying tab issues when entering and exiting.
