I noticed the pirated software wasn’t genuine, and after installing it I received a warning from Windows Security about malicious files. I removed them promptly. Recently, someone accessed my email using what Google identifies as harmful malware on my device, which logged me off. Should I be concerned? It’s wise to be cautious—consider backing up important data and thinking about a clean installation if needed.

I would first install Malwarebytes and perform a system scan. If the results are clean, proceed accordingly. If you're concerned, consider a reinstall; otherwise, leave it alone. Changing your passwords is also a good idea for safety. While doing this, ensure two-factor authentication is enabled on any accounts that support it, preferably important ones.

Use Malwarebytes first, then proceed with HitmanPro. Restore any compromised accounts and reset all passwords. Once the malware is removed, save crucial system files and reinstall Windows if needed.

It looks like there was a significant issue here. Restarting Windows is almost necessary.

I performed a malware by Et scan and HitmanPro analysis, and no threats were detected. Could it be that the virus removed itself from the PC once it gathered specific data?

Unknown factors are involved. Without the exact name it's hard to confirm. It seems the virus likely stopped before it could run, unless Defender caught it during a scan and removed it quickly. If MBAM and Hitman came back clean, it probably is gone. Otherwise, consider formatting and reinstalling your drive. This might just be a coincidence. Check if your details appeared in any data leaks at https://haveibeenpwned.com/. If unsure, update your passwords and turn on two-factor authentication to block future issues.

Only a suspicious app was found indicating possible access to my Google account. No, I haven’t used a VPN at any time.
