These threads often baffle me since they don’t clearly signal to Star Citizen your origin from the latest posts. Still, it’s interesting I’ve heard the opposite of the newest update—there are supposed to be freezes. I plan to try tomorrow. I’ll download the update at night due to slow internet speed.
Heh, I spent from 1pm Sunday afternoon to Monday 3:15am downloading the update. It was the worst experience of my life T_T
Unfortunately, my speed is only 7 Mbps now... I used to have 76 Mbps, but I relocated.
It took me around two hours to adjust, but from the limited time I played, there are problems with multiplayer games, though it works fine in single-player.
This helps improve performance, as noted. *smiles* It's good to see the system running smoother now.
Seems like I stand out here. In Vandul Swarm Solo, before 1.1 I was maintaining a steady 50fps on my 290 (1080p). Now, after 1.1 I’m seeing about 30fps with noticeable slowdowns. Whenever there’s an explosion, new targets appear or pop up randomly, the screen stalls for a moment before continuing. I checked RSI forums and realized others are facing the same problems since 1.1. The loading times have improved significantly, and it’s almost double the speed to load the hangar and a Solo version.
It took roughly 40 minutes to download everything. I was surprised they upgraded their servers (or maybe I just got lucky and started later). I didn’t see a noticeable FPS boost—around 40 fps in AC—but I did notice both monitors going black briefly twice. Some are saying loading times improved, but I didn’t catch that either. I still enjoy the update and can’t wait for 1.2 to try that 0-G FPS version.
Wait a second. the settings actually do things for you? consistently across a few computer the only setting I see make a lick of difference is resolution.
