You should update your BIOS. Your current Ryzen 3 1200 is running on P4.5, but the Ryzen 5 3600 requires a newer BIOS version for compatibility. Check your motherboard documentation or visit the manufacturer’s website to find the latest BIOS release.

I don't have that information. Could you provide the details or check your device documentation?

I found a good setup guide for your Asrock B350 Pro. You can view it here: https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/AB350M Pro4/index.us.asp#BIOS >Support tab > Bios Download. Save the files to a USB drive and restart via BIOS. (It’s suggested to update first to version 5.8, then to a new BIOS.) After loading, go to the instant flash section and you should see updates from the drive. Pick the flash option and choose the BIOS update. If the update isn’t visible, it could mean the files aren’t on the drive or you got the wrong version.

Identical steps, just a single flash required after update 5.9

You might be accessing the system quickly. In the product download section, AsRock offers a UEFI restart utility to help.

You should download the package and extract it, yes. It’s packaged as a zip file.

I saved the update to a FAT32 USB drive, yet during the BIOS setup on Instant Flash it reports an empty image file.
