They got it right about the price jump to over $200 for a 16GB kit a few years back, so they’re not always mistaken. DDR4 probably won’t keep rising as much with DDR5, just like past upgrades when new tech launched. Not terrible by 2017 standards, but I feel we’ve hit a realistic low here. I once spent $179 for 16GB DDR4 3200 and then $129 last year—definitely worth it now.
