Your system already has Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8 GB at 3200MHz installed in two slots, which is ideal for dual-channel performance. Adding the 2x4 GB @3000MHz sticks would work, but there are a few things to consider. The motherboard should support dual channels with these speeds, but ensure your current setup allows it. Using the slower 4GB sticks won’t cause issues since the system will automatically manage the speeds. Just confirm your motherboard’s specifications and avoid overloading slots. If you're unsure, adding more RAM is a safe option.
It's interesting, I have the same setup. Two Gskill RipJaws DD4 sticks—one at 3200MHz and another at 3000MHz—each with 8GB RAM. My thought is, should I use just one faster stick instead of both? Or will pairing them make more use of the extra bandwidth? I’m thinking about upgrading my memory and mostly play PC games, with a Ryzen 2700X at 3.7GHz that isn’t overclocked.
