Check compatibility by looking up your motherboard model and RAM specifications online. Ensure the RAM matches the motherboard's requirements and that the motherboard supports the RAM type you're using.

He checked the device and noticed it didn’t show any RAM. Likely the board is compatible with DDR3 and 4 GB.

There is no compatibility issue between DDR3 and DDR4, and the device only works with DDR4

You currently have two 8GB DDR4 modules and are looking to add four more 4GB DDR4 units.

Why add four extra 4GB units? It would be simpler—just use two 8GB sticks instead. In my view, it would be more practical since you can always expand later if needed.

Before I invest, I’m just using spare parts. Edit: Locate CMX8GE2666C16K8 SCN DDR4, though it doesn’t match the specifications.
