Checking compatibility for your 4-month-old build with a Ryzen 5 3600 and Gigabyte Aorus B450 Elite V2. Confirming if the MSI MAG Core Liquid 240R fits on your motherboard and where the RGB control panel connects. Links provided below.

It fits perfectly with your motherboard. If the cooler requires a custom backplate, manufacturers usually include one in the package. You should be confident MSI doesn’t employ any unique RGB wiring.

It seems the setup should be fine, but you're questioning why an AI is being used for this CPU. The 3600 works well alone, while the 2400 isn't a strong AI and isn't necessary for that specific processor.

Should be fine, I don't see why you need that AIO tho?

I intend to upgrade my CPU this year but also appreciate the cooler's design without needing anything excessive. It’s currently on sale for $50 off on Amazon, and with limited funds I’m only seeking something attractive and functional enough to back my upgrades at an affordable price. Thanks for your reply.

Which CPU will you replace? It’s around $100 on Amazon. A deepcool Castle EX/RGB AIO seems like a good choice if you’re interested.

They look great too, depending on your budget. I was aiming for a Ryzen 7 5800 but thought about the MSI AIO at $109. How much more efficient is the Deepcool Castle ex compared to that? Would the extra $50 be worth it?

Extra... $50? Which region are you in? The 5800 isn't a top CPU (poor performance, overheats easily). It won't improve much, but it offers a better overall design compared to the ATSK rip-off.

From Ontario, Canada—I’m new to this. I’ll check the cost and performance details. Thanks!
